The Cuban ship Cerro Pelado, moored in front of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is transformed into an open-air gymnasium. The three hundred Cuban athletes who have come to participate in the 10th Central American and Caribbean Sports Games and are stranded off the coast are training there. Despite the intimidation and harassment of the
"Yankee" coast guard, a delegation from the pro-independence movement of Puerto Rico approaches to greet
the athletes. The vice-president of the International Olympic Committee José de JESUS CLARK FLORES and Emilio HUYKE,president of the committee of the 10th Sports Games, come aboard to propose disembarking the athletes confined aboard tugboats under the Puerto Rican flag. The latter, relieved, launch into a collective dance on the deck of the ship.
