A possession dance takes place in the Zima Dauda Sido concession in Niger. Jean Rouch filmed the fourth day of the ceremony. During this festival, where participants ask the bush spirit to protect the crops from locusts, the archaic drums Tourou and Bitti will beat. The orchestra consists of a fiddle player, three gourd drummers ("Turu"), and the bass drummer with membrane ("Biti"). As they play, an old man dances. Then the orchestra stops, and the old man and other participants enter a trance.
