A group of about 25 Treasure Valley Armenian-Americans gather on the footbridge in Ann Morrison Park and toss flowers into the Boise River to honor the two million Armenians who were killed in an act of genocide in 1915. Jo-Ann Kachigian said the local Armenian community gathers every year to mark what's known as the "forgotten genocide" so that future generations may always remember the destruction our ancestors suffered at the hands of the Ottoman Turks.
