VELVET ROSES
Inspired by some deep velvet roses gifted to me last week I made a little bouquet for a customer.
The roses were pink with a touch of lilac so I used claret, grape violet and fuchsia to get some variety.
The first rose piped straight on the cake, the second on a nail!

GARDEN CUPCAKES
Adding the little details is what makes the difference.
Grading your colours from dark to light, adding little dots that go from big to small and putting a collection of different flowers on one cake.
Yes it does take time…. But do more than one cupcake at a time 😁
I love my job so time is never a factor, I just get lost in a world of lovely buttercream every day.
To me it’s like a therapy, and if you come for a private one to one with me it’s therapy, counselling, life stories and cake all rolled into one day!!

QUICKIE
Who doesn’t love a quickie 😆
I whipped this one up with leftovers from my class on Friday.
I didn’t want to waste the buttercream already loaded in the bags. So here it is…. A Peachy Quickie!

A QUICK ONE!
Ok so a reeeeely quick one.😂
I’m so under pressure at the moment and I just don’t like that feeling. My mums in and out of hospital and the weather is dire again.
Loads of cakey jobs to do though so I’m trying to focus.
So Rach…. Boot up the butt keep calm and carry on!

AUTUMN DAYS
The leaves are turning and the colours are going rusty.
Gosh I’m going to have tonnes of leaves to rake up… but that’s what happens if you choose to move somewhere surrounded by trees!
It’s all starting to look beautiful though.
So just thought I’d share this particularly rusty bouquet I piped when I arrived here at the end of Feb.
BEGONIA
This ones a cascading fireball. The colours are epic!
I love creating new flowers for you and whilst this isn’t my favourite plant for the garden it’s a beauty to pipe.
THE RACHEL DAHLIA
I piped this one using leftover icing that I was about to throw away. Couldn’t help myself… did it rather swiftly just to see what happened.
But that’s what you do when you love piping! Even when you should be doing something else.
