A businessman takes his secretary to a remote country village for a dirty weekend, where it seems everybody has the surname Smith. Booking in the hotel registrar as Mr & Mrs Smith, the proprietor shows them their room before the businessman decides to have a drink downstairs at the bar. He soon passes out, but when he awakes he discovers that his secretary is missing, and the proprietor denies all knowledge of her existence. What is going on?
Starring Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker and Debbie Arnold, who plays the role of the secretary Miss Goodbody. As mentioned before, the Two Ronnies could do some effective mystery dramas as well as their usual spoofs, and this is easily one of their most puzzling. It is eerily effective and at times a little bit creepy, and makes for a absorbing 15 mins or so.
