Brian and Muriel find themselves lost when driving about in the countryside. They come across a signpost, but as they head deeper into the woods they discover a hidden village. Even more peculiarly, they seem to of gone back into the past into the 16th century!
Starring Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker, April Walker and Patrick Troughton among the cast, this is an intriguing and mysterious short by The Two Ronnies that was broadcast on New Year's Day 1984 during their TV series. There is interest in seeing Patrick Troughton (former Dr Who) in a drama with April Walker, who was cast as Sarah Jane in Dr Who in 1973 until she was replaced by Elisabeth Sladen. It is also a somewhat problematic spoof nowadays, which will only be apparent with it's twist ending. All I will say on that is that Dennis Potter had a similar sort of philosophy in a few of his works, where the "repressed were liberated." I guess The Two Ronnies were just going with the flow. You'll know what I mean when you watch it...
