ANGELO NARDELLI focuses on the formal aspect of men’s clothing, by dividing jackets and coats in three fits to join three different life styles: Milano – formal and slim, Napoli – on the track of the traditional “Neapolitan shoulder” style and Capri – through a skillful deconstruction of the classic lines.
The eye is immediately captured by the variety of materials and patterns: a very rich and detailed selection of the best fabrics made in Biella, – Zegna, Loro Piana in primis, is at the base of all the performed “color stories”. Each color creates its own world, and the one can be replaced by the other, to reach a sort of harmony, which is definitively far away from the traditional aspect.
The blue color in all its shades, exalted by the cutting of the Milano line style, modernizes the pinstripe suits, characterized by more sharp and well-defined lines.
This is where multiple variations of the blue and of the light blue colors originate as original tweed, checkered and Prince of Wales fabrics: kingpin of the daily dressing. The formal “business” turns so lively in new fits, more modern and interesting. The burgundy tones, celebrating the retro echoes of the collection, identify itself with the Naples fit. Suits will be produced in small and big-checkered, herringbone and little patterns that evoke the 50s, by using solid, but soft wools. Coats in cheviot fabrics renew a way of dressing of a well-characterized personality, never ordinary.
The natural colors mingle with the brown ones to perform the Capri fit: soft fabrics and among these: the casentino soft, are the main characters of this proposal. Big and small squares play through firm colors contrasts to which some indigo details are added and in this way, the formal is unusually optioned in light tones. The result is a perfect look for a man who does not feel extremely formal, but who means to express a very personal choice by wearing his own suit.
The Cinquantuno line finally becomes with full rights a collection, independent, complete: interpreter of a contemporary and innovative style, designated for an extreme refinement of materials and lines dedicated to a man who doesn’t desire to be “excessively” formal in his daily dressing.
From the formal collection, the Cinquantuno steals the fits: impeccable and perfect in each detail. In their perfection, they represent a challenge for the trend: for example as for the trousers, which will be deliberately soft in its volumes, as well as for the jackets “apparently” deconstructed, together with very pronounced rétro echoes. Materials and patterns enter a totally new world by searching some oddities which express at a very highest point the creativeness and a talented “know-how”.
Colorings identify moods in this collection too; mustard and English green colors are the main characters of patterns who get inspired from bristly Shetland fabrics, but surprisingly soft. Black watch, large checkered, herringbone and micron patterns, playing with green and mustard colors for the outerwear, as well as very amazing waistcoats and trousers in their unusual matchings.
The color chocolate is perfect to express rétro mood for the jackets as well as for the coats, evoking delavé effects and tweed, being at the same time modern and extremely comforting in its hand-feel. The velvet fabric will be garment dyed for the trousers by recalling the Beatles era, and the jackets will have a worn look and a vintage aspect.
Black & white tones are essential elements as for this season trend, such as the pied-de poule, the Prince of Wales fabric and the herringbone ones. Such patterns bring us back to the 40s: geometric patterns to get soft fits for everyday life. The suit is irony and amusement, dedicated to a man who does not want to take himself too seriously.
Refined and original is the matching between indigo and brown colors. “Structured” fabrics express at a highest level the depth of the blue color and, as a result of this, the bouclé in gar...
