the best action thriller of the year far better than the turd that was dhoom 3 -a filmmaker who indulges his audience rather than self ego and emulsifies the best out of his cast and characters in rich frames with musical soliloquies and the dark themes all amalgamates to make a fascinating and entertaining dramatic thriller -its all in KARMA and its the shadows that do the eloquent talking in this mortuary of mortals.
Mohit suri studies the reactions of male and females in a very complex assortment where crime almost is transformed to redemption -here the serial killer is a victim himself a soul that is excruciating under social taunts and abuse and the victims are the abusers ,it is a movie that goes further than any other crime thriller in its erudite eloquence of crime and punishment .
there is no other parallax i have seen which has this angle and it redeems humanity in a sense that it explores the causes of violence in the mind of the criminal and the director gets right in there with his eloquent close panned shots and superb editing ,this movie deserves to be seen by all who can appreciate the negative and dark side of our psyche as it provokes a serious discussion henceforth .
Its garish violence ,its malicious serialkiller and mafioso murderers are all drenched in a grotesque dream like quality that is the present reality of india with macabre violence and dark romance it becomes a gothic fable almost -it takes the genre further than all previous endeavours and its worthy of an applause .
Even the kids act with a natural flair in spontaneous tones and the effect is profoundly emotional making a pleasant change from the recent releases mostly hysterical or vulgar ,which is a wonder in itself in cinema today where excesses of all kinds run amok ruining human senses and values,a movie with a dark soul and a fiery ethos .
