Siegfried's old university friend, Henry Clintock, moves to the area. Siegfried tries to arrange for his old friend, Ewan Ross, whose veterinary practice has deteriorated since his wife's death, to be Clintock's vet. James has to look after Tricki-Woo while Mrs Pumphrey is in France. The pampered canine disappears, however. James gives advice to a young farmer on the purchase of a flock of sheep.
