Episode: A Touch of Home. Patrons at Shepherd's Bar note increasing tension between Major Woolley and his wife Miriam. Some speculate that meek, obsequious Miriam in fact harbors hostility toward the Major, while the Mervishes mock the couple's staid, perfunctory habits during an impromptu performance for the bar's amusement. Meanwhile, Major Woolley becomes obsessed with the idea that a parcel dispatched from home is being intentionally withheld from him, and Miriam grows more paranoid about intruders in her garden. Erik and Ann intercede but are unable to halt a series of events which culminate in a shocking act of violence.
