istudyandwork IS a project designed to help international students navigate through their study and job searches in the U.S using a personal approach.
Information exchange methods through istudyandwork can be divided into three different categories:
1. News and information related to international study and work is periodically published in our Media Center, which is open to public review and their comments.
2. Our Forum is an open source for students and professionals to freely communicate and discuss their topics of interests among themselves.
3. In order to gain a specific knowledge about international study and work and/or receive practical advice and help, such as with writing a resume, a cover letter or an application essay; one needs to contribute an article of theirs to our Data Center. Please see below section 'How you may give and take' for more information on this feature of the project.
This educational portal serves not only the purpose of mere information exchange, but also of networking and giving. As a result of adventurous challenges I myself have faced during my experience as an international student, I came to realize that the need for a not for profit and a first-hand expertise sharing in the field is immense. This is especially true in the job search and a career advancement process of international students.
Throughout my experience it became clear that a professional platform for networking of recent graduates from Uzbekistan is almost non-existent. This notion has been supported by many of my peers and friends who are willing to contribute to such platform's development. Thus I anticipate most of the articles in our Data Center to come from my fellow country(wo)men who are united in sharing their knowledge and time and in becoming ambassadors of istudyandwork.
